Come and join Saturn Running for our annual GNR & Time Turner event 2026 - whether you're looking to get some miles under your belt before The Great North Run or you just fancy a run along the beautiful River Wear, then this is the event for you! Date & time: Sunday 30th of August 2026 Official start time: 9.30am Location: Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Ln, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU Distance & Time This is a 7 hour Time Challenge event which allows you full control over the distance you want to run. The minimum distance is 5km, which is part of a full lap. A full lap is 4.37 miles (7km) and you can run as many or as few of these laps as you wish in the 7 hour time limit. Please note, we may use the 3.28 mile course at this venue and we will advise closer to the time. Course The course is along a beautiful stretch of the River Wear with views of the Cathedral and is classified as a trail run. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. All abilities are welcome at our super-inclusive events and we also welcome walkers too. Medals & Pins As long as you complete one lap, you will be an official finisher and you will receive one of our fantastic themed medals! We also have distance pins available for anyone who runs a half-marathon distance or more. Pins available to collect are our Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km and Ultra pins. You will receive one pin on the ribbon of your medal to reflect your achievement. Goody Bag Absolutely! You earned the calories after all, so all our finishers get a goody bag. As well as our standard goody bag, with a selection of various goodies to choose from, we also have a fabulous vegan goody bag for our vegan runners. Aid Table We have a fantastic aid table and drinks table at the start / finish of each lap. There is an incredible selection of drinks and savoury or sweet snacks such as crisps, cheese, fruit and cookies with vegan options also available. Special Event If our event is a special event for you, for instance your 50th, 99th, 100th, 150th, 200th, 250th etc. marathon or half marathon then please let us know. We will provide you with a great number with your name and the event date on it. Also, if it is your birthday, again let us know and we will get you a special number for your birthday! Venue Facilities Toilets and changing facilities are available at the race HQ. Bag drop is near the start and finish area. Runners should be aware the bag drop is not staffed and items are left at the sole responsibility of the participant. No liability for lost items will be accepted by the Organiser. Car Parking There is nearby free on-street parking or pay and display city centre parking. Race Day Instructions & Number Pick Up Final race day instructions will be sent out via email 7-10 days prior to the event with full race day information. Number pick up is on the day at race registration before the start of the event. Other Information There will be somewhere to leave a bag at the start / finish area. However, this is not a secure bag and the items cannot be watched at all times so please do not leave anything valuable. Headphones are allowed. Our running events are held on public footpaths so we would be grateful if all runners were considerate of other path users.

The Joust 24hr race with three options: Take on the full 24hr challenge, either as a Solo, Team of 2, Team of 3-5 or a Team of 6-8 or…. Take on the 12 hour challenge where your target is to run 50 miles. As soon as you have the 50 mile completed you can relax, as your race is over. Available to solo runners only. Or…Take on the super chilled option of 6hrs! Available to solo runners only – how far can you go in 6hrs? The Joust race is run over a looped course circa 5.6 miles (due to the course being on private farm land the route changes slightly each year). The course is well marked and marshalled, easily navigable and relatively flat. Solo (or individual team runners) achieving 100 miles or more and Teams achieving 200 miles or more will also receive the coveted Joust Buckle. Kids Joust: The Kiddies race now has an inflatable obstacle on the course. For 2024 it was the rope maze. For 2025 it was the wrecking ball. What obstacle will appear for 2026?

We all love to be beside the seaside so why not enjoy a trail run from the coast at Hornsea in East Yorkshire. You can grab yourself fish and chips and an ice cream from the front after the race. This race follows an out and back route along the scenic Trans Pennine Trail with a variety of distances to choose from. These block out any other sounds and don't allow runners to hear marshals, vehicles or other users of the route. If you do need to wear earphones, then please use bone conducting earphones or "one in one out" in ear pieces. Please note, there may will be unmarshalled road crossings. Transfers/Deferrals: You can self-serve your transfer or deferral either on this website or “Let’s Do This” depending on where you booked. Back for its 5th year but at a NEW VENUE for 2026 - High Lodge, Thetford Forest, Brandon IP27 0AF At our FEAR (Forget Everything And Run), you will join like-minded runners doing different distances. Options include 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon, Heavy Half Marathon, Full Marathon or Ultra Marathon. There is a six-hour event cut off, (if you start at 9am, and 4hour event cut off if you start at 11am) . The route encompasses a 5.3km loop within the grounds of Thetford Forest. (ROUTE TBC) You may be completing your first official 5k,10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon or even ultra-Marathon, or it may be your 100th or 1000th, the location is pretty self-contained, making this an intimate event with us having exclusive use of the main area and have plenty of open space. A heavy half marathon as standard will be 5 laps (but there is the option to change this on the day to 6 or 7). An ultra marathon as standard will be 9 laps (but there is the option to increase this, according to time available e.g. upto 12 laps) There will be a water, aid station located at the lap point so no stress of having to carry lots of food, water or equipment. Parking on the day will be discounted to £5 for participants with a QR code We will be based adjacent to Oak Lodge and will be utilising Oak Lodge for registration and for the provision of your complimentary teas, coffee and cake on completion. There will be a Bespoke medal for the event, which you will receive at the end of the race. Or if you choose the lucky dip option (if an available option), you will choose from a selection of previous medals. The course will be mainly pathway with a small section of trails and woodland (final route TBC). Our suggestion is to wear road trainers but depending on the weather before the event you may want to bring trails if you have them but not essential. A challenging multi-day running race across the mountains of Wales, with steep ascents and rugged terrain. The race covers a distance of 380 km with approximately 16,400 m of ascent, from Conwy Castle to Cardiff Castle. It is not only a test of physical endurance but also a celebration of the natural beauty of Wales. Participants must navigate the race route using map navigation and GPS tracking, and the event offers various entry formats, including the full six-day course and shorter options like Dragon's Fire and Dragon's Tail. Dragon’s Fire - Tân y Ddraig provides an exhilarating two-day introduction to the Dragon’s Back Race, beginning with the iconic start at Conwy Castle. Runners follow the same route as full-course participants through the dramatic mountains of the Carneddau, Glyderau, Snowdon massif and the notorious Rhinogs, which are regarded as the most technical and spectacular terrain of the race. With full race support and two nights in atmospheric overnight camps, it offers an ideal way to experience the spirit and challenge of the full Dragon’s Back Race without committing to the entire six days. Dragon’s Tail - Cynffon y Ddraig captures the unforgettable final chapters of the Dragon’s Back Race, inviting runners to join on Day 5 for a stunning traverse of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), which is often regarded as the best single day of the race. Day 6 offers a striking change of pace: a flat, fast ultra into the heart of Cardiff, finishing with a rapturous welcome to our finish area within the grounds of Cardiff Castle. With full race support, two nights in the lively overnight camps, and transport provided to join the event at Camp 4, this is an opportunity to experience the glory of the Dragon’s Back Race finale, without the six-day commitment.

Lulworth Cove 10k, 27k & 53k Ultra – Postponed: Saturday 28th February 2026 - NEW DATE Saturday 12th September Looking for a challenge? Join us for the Lulworth Cove trail event! Choose between 10K, 27K and 50k ultra distance trail routes. All three routes are quite different to our regular RunThrough courses. They all include some rugged trails, fun climbs, descents and maybe even a stile or two! Whether you are running your first trail race or stepping up to the ultra distance for the first time, we have you covered. All three routes start at the beautiful Daggers Gate, part of the Lulworth Castle Estate, offering stunning views of the Dorset coastline and surrounding countryside. The routes will be well flagged and we have plenty of helpers to encourage you on your way to the finish line. Both the 27k and 53K routes will pass by aid stations to allow you to refuel and fill your water bottles. Included in your entry fee is a themed medal, water and post race goodies.
