Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 14, 2026, as we gather in the picturesque city of Winchester, Hampshire. This exciting event invites runners of all abilities to experience the stunning Itchen Way on a professionally measured course with a Road Permit. Whether you're aiming for a personal best, tackling a road marathon, or simply enjoying a leisurely run, this is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself without the muddy trails. Participants can choose from a variety of distances, including a 2.62-mile lap, with options to complete as many laps as you can within a generous 7-hour window. Complete one lap and you're a finisher, or push yourself to achieve a half marathon, marathon, or even an ultra-distance! Our famous aid station will keep you fueled with tasty snacks, including signature potatoes and plenty of vegan options. With flexible start times between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM, you can arrive and run at your own pace, making this event as accommodating as it is fun. Phoenix Running Hampshire is inviting you to join us along The Itchen Way in Winchester for our event 'Autumn Feisty Phoenix Day 1'. This course has been professionally measured and has a Road Permit for this event. So, whether you're going for a GFA, a 'Road Marathon', or simply want to run on a beautiful smooth course without getting your trainers all muddy, then please join us. It's always a party with Phoenix. This is one of our timed events where you choose from one 2.62 mile out/back, to as many as you wish in 7 hours. Five for a Half Marathon, ten for a Marathon, and eleven or more for an Ultra. The course is an out/back along the beautiful Itchen Way, crossing over the Hockley Viaduct, and back. We welcome all abilities of runner - complete one lap and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes or keep going and see how far you can get in the full 7 hour time limit and everyone gets the fabulous bespoke finisher's medal. Our aid station is also famous for all its sweet and savoury goodies and signature POTATOES, we will always provide plenty of Vegan options too, so you won't go hungry! We operate our uniquely flexible rock up and run start times, so no waiting around if you arrive early and no added pressure if you're running a bit late. The official start time is at 0800, but you are welcome to start anytime up till 1300. Give yourself plenty of time to complete the distance of your choice, as the course will close at 1500. The event will be based in the Garnier Road Car Park, with ample parking available a short 3 minute walk away at the St. Catherine's Park & Ride. If you have any special start time requirements then just get in touch because depending on the distance you are planning to run, we can pretty much accommodate all start time requests. Not sure? Well, the beauty of this format is that you don't even need to decide in advance. Simply come and run a lap and see how you feel on the day and keep on going if it feels right.
