About The Event Come and join us for our annual spooky Scare Bear Run! The Care Bears were a staple of anyone who grew up in the 80's and even if you never liked them or don't have a clue who we're even talking about, I'm sure you will admit that they make for a super cute (slightly scary) medal to earn! All abilities are welcome at our super-inclusive events and we also welcome walkers too. Date & time: Sunday 11th of October 2026 Official start time 9.30am Location: Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Ln, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU Distance & Time This is a 7 hour Time Challenge event which allows you full control over the distance you want to run. The minimum distance is 5km, which is part of a full lap. A full lap is 4.37 miles (7km) and you can run as many or as few of these laps as you wish in the 7 hour time limit. Please note, we may use the 3.28 mile course at this venue and we will advise closer to the time. Course The course is along a beautiful stretch of the River Wear with views of the Cathedral and is classified as a trail run. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. All abilities are welcome at our super-inclusive events and we also welcome walkers too. Medals & Pins As long as you complete 5km, you will be an official finisher and you will get one of our incredible Scare Bear themed medals! We also have distance pins available for anyone who runs a half-marathon distance or more. Pins available to collect are our Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km and Ultra pins. You will receive one pin on the ribbon of your medal to reflect your achievement. Goody Bag Absolutely! You have earned these replacement calories after all, so all our finishers get a great goody bag. You will have a selection of goodies to choose from. As well as our standard goody bag, we have a vegan goody bag too. Please let us know if you are vegan or if you prefer a vegan goody bag when you enter and we can have this ready for you. Aid Table We have a fantastic aid table and drinks table at the start / finish of each lap. There is an incredible selection of drinks and savoury or sweet snacks such as crisps, cheese, fruit and cookies with vegan options also available. Special Event If our event is a special event for you, for instance your 50th, 99th, 100th, 150th, 200th, 250th etc. marathon or half marathon then please let us know. We will provide you with a great number with your name and the event date on it. Also, if it is your birthday, again let us know and we will get you a special number for your birthday! Venue Facilities Toilets and changing facilities are available at the race HQ. Bag drop is near the start and finish area. Runners should be aware the bag drop is not staffed and items are left at the sole responsibility of the participant. No liability for lost items will be accepted by the Organiser. Car Parking There is nearby free on-street parking or pay and display city centre parking. Race Day Instructions & Number Pick Up Final race day instructions will be sent out via email 7-10 days prior to the event with full race day information. Number pick up is on the day at race registration before the start of the event. Other Information There will be somewhere to leave a bag at the start / finish area. However, this is not a secure bag and the items cannot be watched at all times so please do not leave anything valuable. Headphones are allowed. Our running events are held on public footpaths so we would be grateful if all runners were considerate of other path users.

Running Events Devon would like to invite you to come and run with us. This event is being held on the 11th October 2026. We are operating our 'TUGG' system as in Turn Up Get Going, you can turn up any time between 7:30 and 14:30 BUT you have to be finished by 15:30. Absolutely all abilities of runners / walkers can take part in our events as you have 7 hours to get to the finish of your final lap, each lap is 5.3k out and back, of our scenic route on an old disused train line. It is an accurately measured course so therefore it is classified as Road, it is run entirely on tarmac. Everyone is welcome whether you are planning to walk or run, whether you finish 1 lap, 4 laps or even 14 laps in the permitted time, we would class you as finisher and a winner, and you can collect your Medal for the event. 1 lap is 5.3k so 4 laps will give you a half marathon, 8 laps will give you full marathon distance, 9 or more laps for an Ultra. Please come and have a try and see how far you can go. Places are strictly limited so please do not leave it too late to enter, if and when we reach capacity anyone entering after, will get a bespoke medal of their choice of the ones that we have with us on that day. The Bath & Bristol Railway Races follow the route of the original train line from Green Park Station in Bath to Bristol Temple Meads and this route is the flattest of all the races in our calendar! The route is 100% tarmac, offering a road race like experience through the green countryside and into the heart of Bristol. The trainline was in use from 1869 - 1971 and between 1979 and 1986, Sustrans converted the railway path into whatwould become the first route on the National Cycle Network. Along the route you will find historic and active nods to the routes heritage. The Half Marathon runs out and back to Bitton Train Station, with 2.5km in each direction running alongside the Avon Valley Railway, an active heritage line that still runs on the original route today. The 25km, Marathon and 50km run alongside the Avon Valley Railway station at Bitton and onwards to Bristol, passing restored signal boxes, picturesque stations at Warmley and Mangotsfield. The 450m long Staple Hill Tunnel is on the route of the 25km, Marathon and 50km race. It is significantly larger than the tunnels at the Two Tunnels and Wye Valley Tunnel Run as the route had two railway lines running through the tunnel. The Staple Hill Tunnel is well lit.

Priya's Birthday Biryani Dash Change of location for this event. The venue of this event is Hardy Farm. Vegan Biryani included for early birds!! 50 Early birds (first 50 entries) will get Vegan Biryani from Fozia's Kitchen along with their medal! So, don't leave it too late. We have brought this event back as it was hugely requested as people loved the biryani run in 2025. Start time: "Rock up and run" when you're ready 8.30am onwards. All runners should be finished by 3.30pm. We don't have official start time, if you have any special requests on start times, please email us and we will do our best to accommodate you. Aid Station As always, we'll have a well-stocked aid station available all day for everyone, regardless of distance. Options usually include crisps, pretzels, cookies, biscuits, bananas, squash, water, and more. This is one of our timed events where you choose - from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra, you can complete as many or as few laps as you like of a 5.3km, 3.28 mile, lapped course around the beautiful Trails of Old Warden. We welcome all abilities of runner - complete one lap and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes, or keep going and see how far you can get in the full 7 hour time limit and everyone gets the fabulous bespoke finishers' medal. We also operate our uniquely flexible 'rock up and run' start times within a 1 hour start window, so no waiting around if you arrive early and no added pressure if you're running a bit late. If you have any special start time requirements then just get in touch because depending on the distance you are planning to run we can pretty much accommodate all start time requests. Whilst Phoenix Running Bedfordshire is very much about the bling and our medals are second to none, we're also acutely conscious that events can be expensive to enter and times are tough right now. So to try and do our bit we're trailing a 'no medal' entry option at a flat £22. We cover our base costs, you get a run with all the usual Phoenix support, epic aid station, same day results published, athletes profiles, Phoenix World, digital BIBs, digital finishers certificates, etc, etc but without a medal we can keep the price low for this entry option. Not sure? Well the beauty of this format is that you don't even need to decide in advance - simply come and run a lap and see how you feel on the day and keep on going if it feels right. Knaresborough Running Festival – Trail 10k (ish), Half Marathon, 20 Miler, Marathon & Ultra   Join us in the heart of Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, for an unforgettable day of trail running through some of the most scenic countryside in the region. Phoenix Running West Sussex is inviting you to our Secret Squirrel Run at Buchan Park, Crawley, West Sussex. We have been invited to host another run at this popular location. Our feedback from other events was a collective "I didn't know there was such a hidden gem in Crawley". So come and discover Buchan Country Park which is set in 170 acres of beautiful countryside right on Crawley's doorstep and has won the Green Flag Award, which recognises the best green spaces in the UK, every year since 2010. This is one of our timed events where you choose - from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra, you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like of a 5.3km, 3.28 mile, out and back, course in the beautiful Buchan Country Park. We welcome all abilities of runner - complete one lap and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes, or keep going and see how far you can get in the full 7 hour time limit. At this event you will get the option to choose from any one of our previous medals, so if there is one you liked the look of but missed then this is your chance to have it. Hence the name of the run as you will have 12 medals to choose from. The Ultra Loop is an inclusive and flexible 8-hour running event with no limit on how far you can run. Within the 8 hours, you are encouraged to run as many loops as you can. The mixed-terrain course combines gravel roads and light trails around a 6km loop and no matter how many loops you run, you receive a finishing time and medal. The event takes place at Delamere Forest in Cheshire, UK where the route explores the winding woodland trails.

Phoenix Running South Wales invites you to join us for our ABERFAN MEMORIAL RUN on Sunday 18th October. On 21 October 1966, tragedy struck the Welsh village of Aberfan when a colliery spoil tip collapsed after heavy rainfall. The resulting avalanche of slurry engulfed Pantglas Junior School and nearby homes just after the school day began. 144 people died, including 116 children and 28 adults. Join us for a run in remembrance of the victims of the Aberfan Disaster 60 years on. A contribution from every race entry will be donated to the Aberfan Memorial Charity. This is one of our timed events where you choose how far to go - from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra, you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like of a 5.3km, 3.28 mile, out and back, course along the Taff Trail at Aberfan, Merthyr Tydfil. Set on the coastal path at Milford on Sea, with fabulous views of the Isle of Wight and taking in Sturt Pond Nature Reserve, this is a mixed terrain event suitable for all abilities. 'Wight Lines' consists of an 'out and back' route along the coast offering participants the opportunity to choose their own distance, from 5K to ultra-marathon. All finishers of one lap or more will receive a medal. We offer flexible start times between 8am and 9.30am. Just turn up when you're ready to run. All runners to finish by 3pm (maximum 7 hours). Number pick-up is on the day at race registration before you start the event. We will have an aid and drinks table at the start/finish of each lap. There will be a selection of savoury and sweet items. There will also be an area to leave your own items. Please note we do not provide plastic cups; bring your own. Public toilets are available at the start / finish area and along the route. Final instructions will be sent out via email before the event with full race day information.  Laps are a 5.3km / 3.28 mile, out and back, course. Please note, this event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules.  as per UK Athletics rules, distance restrictions apply to participants ages 20 or under.
