The Care Bears were a staple of anyone who grew up in the 80's and even if you never liked them or don't have a clue who we're even talking about, I'm sure you will admit that they make for a super cute (slightly scary) medal to earn! All abilities are welcome at our super-inclusive events and we also welcome walkers too. The lowest entry price for all distances is available to members only and is £10.00 lower than the full price. You can become a member by logging into your profile and purchasing one of the membership schemes. As well as the cheapest entry price, a member is guaranteed entry to the run and gets a mini-me medal pin at every event they attend! Distance & Time This is a 7 hour Time Challenge event which allows you full control over the distance you want to run. The minimum distance is 3km, which is part of a lap. A full lap is 4.37 miles or 7km (this is subject to change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions) and you can run as many, or as few, of these laps as you like subject to UK athletics age restrictions (please see the restrictions below). We will have a 3k turn point and 5k turn point within the lap which is available to allow our younger runners to comply with the UK Athletics distance rules. It is 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon and 7 or over for an ultra, we also have a 50km distance available. The regular course is subject to some change near the time of the event depending on our health and safety review of the course. Course The course is around the beautiful Dare Valley Country Park on well maintained paths. There are lovely views of the surrounding country side making this an interesting course to run. We have a fantastic route that is all on well maintained footpaths so is perfect for a road trainer. Medals & Pins As long as you complete 3km, you will be an official finisher and you will receive one of our fantastic themed medals! We also have distance pins available for anyone who runs a half-marathon distance or more. Pins available to collect are our Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km and Ultra pins. You will receive one pin on the ribbon of your medal to reflect your achievement. Goody Bag Absolutely! You earned the calories after all, so all our finishers get a goody bag. The Maverick Jurassic Coast Trail 2026 SATURDAY 17 OCTOBER 2026 CORFE Set in the home of Maverick Race, we are excited to offer you five trail routes that will take you on an invigorating adventure around the Isle of Purbeck and along part of the 95-mile stretch of the famous Jurassic Coast. Our three routes start just outside the picturesque village of Corfe Castle, where you’ll then run steadily across marshland, gradually making your way towards the coast. The Ultra and Half Marathon routes will pass the epic Old Harry's Rocks and traverse along coastal ridge-lines via the Purbeck Way. Our Ultra route will take you right down to the tip of the Purbecks, past Winspit Quarry, before reaching the notorious steps at St. Aldhelm's Head. You'll cruise along the Hardy Way and catch a glimpse of Corfe Castle as you descend across Knowle Hill. The finish line is nearing, and you can almost hear the sound of the Maverick cowbells ringing you home... We are so excited to welcome you to where Maverick Race started, and the trails that inspired us to get outdoors and start exploring. We can’t wait to share our favourite paths, hills and views with you, knowing you’ll be stunned and challenged in equal measure. Whether you are brand new to trail running or have run many times before, with five distances to choose from, there is something for all levels. Phoenix Running West Sussex is inviting you to our Secret Squirrel Run at Buchan Park, Crawley, West Sussex. We have been invited to host another run at this popular location. Our feedback from other events was a collective "I didn't know there was such a hidden gem in Crawley". So come and discover Buchan Country Park which is set in 170 acres of beautiful countryside right on Crawley's doorstep and has won the Green Flag Award, which recognises the best green spaces in the UK, every year since 2010. This is one of our timed events where you choose - from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra, you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like of a 5.3km, 3.28 mile, out and back, course in the beautiful Buchan Country Park. We welcome all abilities of runner - complete one lap and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes, or keep going and see how far you can get in the full 7 hour time limit. At this event you will get the option to choose from any one of our previous medals, so if there is one you liked the look of but missed then this is your chance to have it. Hence the name of the run as you will have 12 medals to choose from. We also operate our uniquely flexible 'rock up and run' start times, so no waiting around if you arrive early and no added pressure if you're running a bit late. If you have any special start time requirements then just get in touch because depending on the distance you are planning to run we can pretty much accommodate all start time requests. Whilst Phoenix Running West Sussex is very much about the bling and our medals are second to none, we're also acutely conscious that events can be expensive to enter and times are tough right now. To do our bit we're trailing a 'no medal' entry option at a flat £22. We cover our base costs, you get a run with all the usual Phoenix support, epic aid station, same day results published, athletes profiles, Phoenix World, digital BIBs, digital finishers certificates, etc, etc but without a medal we can keep the price low for this entry option. Not sure? Well the beauty of this format is that you don't even need to decide your distance in advance - simply come and run a lap and see how you feel on the day and keep on going if it feels right. Places will be strictly limited so don't leave it too late to enter. We encourage the use of public transport for this event. From Bewbush on route 3, 23 or 200 and get off at Dorsten Square, from Broadfield and Crawley Station on route 1 or Fastway 10 and get off at Pelham Drive. Staggered starts : 08:00 to 10:00 (registration open from 7.30am). Off road, compact trail. Minimum distance is 3.1 miles (5k) or as far as you can go in 7 hours.

The Ultra Loop is an inclusive and flexible 8-hour running event with no limit on how far you can run. Within the 8 hours, you are encouraged to run as many loops as you can. The mixed-terrain course combines gravel roads and light trails around a 6km loop and no matter how many loops you run, you receive a finishing time and medal. The event takes place at Delamere Forest in Cheshire, UK where the route explores the winding woodland trails.
