Join this stunning guided trail run around the Devil's Punchbowl in Hindhead, Surrey. The Devil's Punchbowl is unique, a natural amphitheatre and beauty spot. Legend has it that the devil spent his time tormenting the god Thor by pelting him with enormous handfuls of earth, leaving the great bowl that visitors can see today. In reality, this area offers fantastic running along some stunning trails. This 10km is designed to be fun but tough, we will enjoy some fantastic trails and lots of lovely hills. The good news is that we will pause at the top to enjoy the spectacular views. You can take the hills at your own pace and we will encourage each other. This run is perfect for people new to trail running, runners who simply like to run with like minded people, or those that haven't felt comfortable running trails alone at dusk or night. 🌅 Sunset runs occur during the lighter, warmer months and offer stunning running at dusk, with blissful temperatures and fantastic views, the perfect end to any day. 🌌 Night runs occur during the darker, colder months and offer the unique experience of running trails at night by headtorch, in a safe group environment. Pace: This is not a race, we’ll run as a group and enjoy the experience together. We often hike steeper climbs and regroup regularly, but you should be comfortable maintaining an average pace of around 10 min/mile (6:15 min/km) on trails for prolonged periods of time to enjoy this event. Faster runners should expect an easier, more social pace at times. Kit: A full kit list will be provided. That’s right, we’ve ramped up our Sherwood Pines venue for something bigger and longer in 2027. An extended 10-mile loop around the Sherwood Pines forest, where you can take on a multitude of distances solo or as a team. We’ll have our HQ set up for camping over the event as well as a communal base, with our usual food truck, communal area for crew and supporters and more support than you can shake a stick at! Welcome to the Watford Half Marathon, 10K & Fun Run, a thrilling event set to take place on Sunday, February 7th, 2027, starting in the picturesque Cassiobury Park! RUN FOR CAKE - Back for its 5th year and back at Ferry Meadows Ferry Meadows is one of the largest country parks in the region. Situated less than three miles from Peterborough City Centre, at the heart of Nene Park, its varied landscapes make it the favourite destination for thousands of visitors throughout the year. Run for Cake is a 6-hour event (if you have a 9 am start) or a 4-hour event (if you 11 am start), run as far as you can during the six hours and a little bit more if you're lucky, as long as you are leaving the Base Camp by 5:59:59 you get to run another lap, we have a 5.3k lap throughout the forest consisting of gravel footpaths and some grass areas - a multi-terrain course. You can run as much or as little as you want to, you can rest between laps if you like and head out for some more. A heavy half marathon as standard will be 5 laps (but there is the option to change this on the day to 6 or 7). An ultra marathon as standard will be 9 laps (but there is the option to increase this, according to time available e.g. upto 12 laps) You may be completing your first official 5k,10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon or even ultra-marathon, or it may be your 100th or 1000th. This race is also ideal for those who want to try and achieve a Marathon distance and for those who also want the option to push a little further, possibly an ultra but without the complications of trail ultras, with next to no navigation, no kit required, an aid station every lap and straightforward logistics. Parking is chargeable at the park. From the toilets and the parking payment machines, you will see our start arch and gazebos. On the day Once you have parked your car, look out for the main toilet block. To the left of the block you will see our race arch and gazebos. You will also see a sign for race registration. Proceed to the Race Registration area to collect your bib numbers. The Race HQ/Base Camp is located at the start and Lap point we will have our water/aid station. The terrain consists of country park footpaths and grass areas. Our suggestion is to wear road trainers, but depending on the weather before the event you may want to bring trails if you have them but not essential. We have designed a Bespoke medal for the event, which you will receive at the end of the race. (Unless you have chosen the Finisher Medal Option. You will receive a medal but it will not be specific to the event) We will have virtual spaces available for anyone who wants the run for the medal but cannot make the event date. Runners, Walkers, Joggers, Marathoners, and yes, even those who go at a snails pace are all welcome. Finish lines, not finish times. Every finisher gets our awesome Snailed It medal This is one of our timed events where you choose - from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra, you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like of a 5.3km, 3.28 mile, out and back course around Grafham Water. We welcome all abilities of runner - complete one lap and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes, or keep going and see how far you can get in the full 6 hour time limit and everyone gets the fabulous bespoke finishers' medal. We also operate our uniquely flexible 'rock up and run' start times within a 1 hour start window, so no waiting around if you arrive early and no added pressure if you're running a bit late. Not sure how far you wish to run? Well the beauty of this format is that you don't even need to decide in advance - simply come and run a lap and see how you feel on the day and keep on going if it feels right. Places will be strictly limited so don't leave it too late to enter. Start anytime between 08:00am and 9:00am (registration open from 7.30am). Minimum distance is 3.28 miles or as far as you can go in 6 hours. Tarmac cycle paths and small section of gravel path. The overall course has minimal elevation gain / loss making this a relatively flat and fast route. BigMud - Classic Element Trail Series SUNDAY 21st FEBRUARY 2027 For those of you who like your trail running Feats to be BIG, we give to you the Classic Element Trail Series. Four trail running events based on the 4 classic elements…. Earth, Water, Fire and Air. Whether it's clawing over muddy hills and rainy valleys (Earth), battling over an ancient rugged coastline (Water), Pushing on under a relentless sun (Fire) or running under a never-ending sky (Air), BigFeat Events have developed a series of races that will Challenge you, Awaken you and Inspire you. Inspired by the Classic Element Earth, we bring you... BigMud! DESCRIPTION Back for our sixth year, these spectacular but challenging courses return! The 1st event in the Classic Element Trail Series, BigMud symbolises the element Earth. We have 3 wild ‘n’ muddy, single lap trail runs around the scenic Meon Valley. You’ll have a choice of 50Km Ultramarathon, Marathon or 16 mile distances, each starting at Queen Elizabeth Country Park in Hampshire, with a 518ft climb up to the highest point in the South Downs, Butser Hill……. twice! Once at the top, you will then head out over the trails and rolling hills of the South Downs National Park, with the finish back where you started at the bottom of Butser Hill. This event will certainly challenge you but the spectacular scenery and friendly, encouraging atmosphere will leave you with an enormous feeling of accomplishment! Most will have hydration vests but handheld soft flasks will be permitted. As weather is changeable, especially in winter, runners are advised to also wear (and carry) appropriate clothing for the conditions. We also strongly advise runners to download the GPX file of the route onto a wearable watch or mobile device. Although this is a marked course event, arrows can be tampered with, so a good understanding of the route is advisable. BAG DROP A bag drop tent will be available on the day. It delivers 1,000mg of sodium per litre, which is about what the average athlete loses per litre of sweat. Welcome to our first event of 2027 ‘Strictly Running’ lace up your dancing shoes—er, running shoes and show us your best moves from the start to finish, keep dancing……and running. Come join us and get this lovely medal. This timed event is where you choose - from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra, you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like of 2.65km (1.65 mile) along Crystal Palace Park. We welcome all abilities of runner - complete two lap and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes, or keep going and see how far you can get in the time limit of 7 hours and everyone gets the fabulous bespoke finishers' medal. The beauty of this format is that you don't even need to decide in advance, simply come and run 2 laps and see how you feel on the day and keep on going if it feels right. The course will be well marked, minimum distance is 3.30 miles or as far as you can go in the time limit. Off road trail. A great park to run around with good tarmac and gravel pathways. Age limit - 18 years old and above. This event is licensed by Trail Running Association and will adhere to the UK Athletics rules. The course is path, we recommend road/trail shoes depending on the weather. The course features a series of gentle undulations with challenging steep sections that rise sharply, creating a dynamic and varied landscape for participants to navigate. Entries will be limited so please don't leave it too late to sign up.

Back for its 2nd Year - Thetford Festival of Running Come and join us at High Lodge, Thetford Forest, Brandon, IP27 0AF At our Festival of Running, you will join like-minded runners doing different distances. Options include 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon or Ultra Marathon. There is a six-hour event cut off, (if you start at 9am, and 4hour event cut off if you start at 11am) . The route encompasses a 5.km loop within the grounds of Thetford Forest. You may be completing your first official 5k,10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon or even ultra-Marathon, or it may be your 100th or 1000th, the location is pretty self-contained, making this an intimate event with us having exclusive use of the main area and have plenty of open space. A heavy half marathon as standard will be 5 laps (but there is the option to change this on the day to 6 or 7). An ultra marathon as standard will be 9 laps (but there is the option to increase this, according to time available e.g. upto 12 laps) There will be a water, aid station located at the lap point so no stress of having to carry lots of food, water or equipment. Parking on the day will be discounted to £5 for participants with a QR code We will be based adjacent to Oak Lodge and will be utilising Oak Lodge for registration and for the provision of your complimentary teas, coffee and cake on completion. There will be a Bespoke medal for the event, which you will receive at the end of the race. Or if you choose the lucky dip option (if an available option), you will choose from a selection of previous medals. The course will be mainly pathway with a small section of trails and woodland (final route TBC). Our suggestion is to wear road trainers but depending on the weather before the event you may want to bring trails if you have them but not essential. PLEASE NOTE THE EVENT IS CUPLESS - SO please bring cups and bottles for refreshment refilling 20% of your entry fee goes towards the upkeep of the forest and the caring of the woodlands.
