They were super. The smiley marshals were lovely from the beginning until, rightly so, they faded away before the night closed in. Really enjoyed them sticking around to support. From at the start, Paul calmly coordinated staff and participants. At 3/4am he drove down to certain parts of the track to keep us encouraged. To shaking my hand and looking me in the eye after 24 hours of running. He did everything with such good morality. When I consider what lessons I learnt it was the ones from how Paul carried himself and us. I had the best 24 hours of my life! Rob ***** Despite the awful weather and subsequent tricky ground conditions, the event was brilliant! It was Incredibly well organised with ample facilities and support. I hope Paul and the team see continued success with the race format next year! Nick ***** Great event. Friendly, well-organised, relaxed. There was a hall used as the base between laps where you could keep your bag etc. The route was good - a mix of stony tracks and (very muddy this year!) single-track paths. The event format of one loop on the hour every hour is great - it means you're always running with others. Overall, I had a great time, and this is one I'll do again.

Running Events Devon would like to invite you to come and run with us. This event is being held on the 10th October 2026. We are operating our 'TUGG' system as in Turn Up Get Going, you can turn up any time between 7:30 and 14:30 BUT you have to be finished by 15:30. Absolutely all abilities of runners / walkers can take part in our events as you have 7 hours to get to the finish of your final lap, each lap is 5.3k out and back, of our scenic route on an old disused train line. It is an accurately measured course so therefore it is classified as Road, it is run entirely on tarmac. Everyone is welcome whether you are planning to walk or run, whether you finish 1 lap, 4 laps or even 14 laps in the permitted time, we would class you as finisher and a winner, and you can collect your Medal for the event. 1 lap is 5.3k so 4 laps will give you a half marathon, 8 laps will give you full marathon distance, 9 or more laps for an Ultra. Please come and have a try and see how far you can go. Places are strictly limited so please do not leave it too late to enter, if and when we reach capacity anyone entering after, will get a bespoke medal of their choice of the ones that we have with us on that day.
