Rhino Run

Get ready for an exhilarating experience at the Rhino Run, organized by Circuit Running Events Limited! This exciting event is set to take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, starting at 9:30 AM at the beautiful Skellingthorpe Community Centre. The Rhino Run is a unique 6-hour challenge that invites participants to run various distances, from a 5k to an ultra marathon, all while raising awareness for the Save the Rhino cause championed by Chris Green, also known as Rhino Boy Chris. With a scenic 3.28-mile lap course, runners can take on multiple laps, with options for 5k, 10k, half marathon, marathon, and ultra marathon distances. Rest assured, there will be plenty of refreshments including water, squash, and snacks available at the end of each lap to keep you energized. Plus, all finishers will receive a bespoke Rhino-themed medal and a goody bag to celebrate their achievements. Circuit running welcomes you to the Rhino run, a 6 hour challenge timed event where you can run a 5k all the way up to ultra marathon within the time limit. The run is to celebrate awareness of save the rhino and the effort that Chris Green AKA Rhino Boy Chris puts into raising awareness of the save the cause, some of the proceeds of the run will go towards Chris's cause. The event will start at 9:30am and registration will open at 8:45am. The course is 3.28 miles a lap but there'll be a 5k turn point and a 10k will be 2 laps of the 5k lap, a half marathon will be 4 laps of the 3.28 miles course, 8 laps for a marathon, 9 or more for an ultra marathon. There'll be a table at the end of each lap with water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of different food. You can start your last lap up until 5:59:59 hrs. The course is mainly along an old railway line on a tarmac path with a small section at the start and finish of each lap on the field, the course is out and back with no navigation required. Toilets will be at the pavillion on the playing field. Parking: there is car parking in the car park at Skellingthorpe Community Centre. After finishing you'll get a bespoke Rhino themed medal and a goody bag for your efforts.
