Where is it? Braybrooke Taproom, Market Harborough, LE16 8LJ is the amazing taproom for Braybrooke Beer Co just outside Market Harborough. The What 3 Words location is here. Parking is free! There are toilets onsite and the Taproom will be open for post-run pastries, cakes and coffees (or a pint of their beers of course!), Braybrooke Taproom is just outside Market Harborough 7 minutes from Junction 3 of the A14. The closest train station is Market Harborough. What’s a 6 hour event? I’ve made a short video here to try to explain a little. It is an event that enables all abilities of runner to run together (or hike/walk!). Ultimately you can run as many 5k laps as you wish in the time limit. You can run one lap in 20 minutes, pick up your medal and drink and go home! Alternatively you can head out on your 15th lap at 14:55 and finish in 6:30 having covered over 50 miles! It’s completely up to you. There is no pressure from us, but we’ll also see if you want one more lap! The format is great for people looking to run further than they’ve ever done before, do a long training run for future events or to enjoy a sociable event with your friends. Course description The course from Braybrooke Taproom runs along the Griffin Trail and Brampton Valley Way. Both of these footpaths are very well maintained over crushed stone, the Griffin Trail has recently been resurfaced to give a great surface. There is one small section (around 100m) across grass trail but in the summer this shouldn’t be much of a consideration. Watch the video below to see. It’s relatively flat with gentle climbs on the way out and you’ll be running between arable farm fields - but without having to worry about breaking your ankle on ploughed fields! The vast majority of the course is not under tree cover. This will leave you exposed to the elements but also allows for some spectacular, uninterrupted views! (New video coming soon) What does it cost? We operate a tiered pricing approach. The earlier you enter, the cheaper the event but never ever will you pay a booking fee! How far is the event? You decide! The 3.3-mile out and back from the Taproom means your race can be just over 5k or, given the relatively flat nature of the course, potentially 50+ miles! You decide how many laps you are going to do on the day within the 6-hour time limit. If you're looking to cover a marathon distance you'll need to complete 8 laps and a half marathon will be 4 laps. Do I have to raise money or run for charity? No… BUT! We have a great partnership with Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. They provide specialist nurses and support for seriously ill children. There are currently over 200 Roald Dahl Nurses caring for more than 40,000 seriously ill children. During the sign up process you can opt to set up a Just Giving page to raise money for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity or to make a small donation alongside your entry fee - 100% of that goes straight to the charity to help with their amazing work. This is our first time on this course! We’ve hosted 100+ similar events at other venus but it’s the first time we’ll be at the Taproom. Be a part of history!! I’m unsure what to expect at a 6 hour event? We’ve made some videos to try and help newcomers understand Big Bear Events and 6 hour events a little more here. We’ve got lots of videos on our You Tube channel that might help you see what we’re all about!. I’ve heard you do nice medals. What will it look like? Once it’s in our hands we’ll share the design with you! I’m not that fussed by a medal, drink and flapjack… In that case our partnership with Earth Runs will be perfect! Rather than give you a medal you don’t really want (and to help reduce waste) we’ll give you a Big Bear Tree Token. Not only will a tree be planted for each token given out but the token is also full of wildflower seeds for you to grow at home! Can I run with my dog? No, our canicross season finishes in March. Is this event suitable for Rucking? Definitely! Read all about how we do rucking here (or if you’ve no idea what rucking is find out here too!) Is there a gpx of the route? The route gpx can be found here or visit plotaroute.com here. The route may be subject to last minute changes and there will be plenty of markings up on race day so you do not need to have this - but I know some of you like to anyway! I really want to take part in the event but the day isn’t convenient for me! What can I do? We’ve partnered with our friends at Skamper to offer On-demand events! It’s not quite the same as being there on the day but it’s the next best thing! Using the Skamper app you can be directed around the route on a day of your choosing. When you sign up we’ll send you the medal in the post that was given out on the day of the event. This way when you finish you’ll be able to claim the medal you’ve earned for the run straight away! We welcome all abilities of runner - complete one loop and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes, or keep going and see how far you can get in the full 7 hour time limit and everyone gets the fabulous bespoke finishers' medal. We also operate our uniquely flexible 'rock up and run' start times within a 1 hour start window, so no waiting around if you arrive early and no added pressure if you're running a bit late. If you have any special start time requirements then just get in touch because depending on the distance you are planning to run we can pretty much accommodate all start time requests. Whilst Phoenix Running is very much about the bling and our medals are second to none, we're also acutely conscious that events can be expensive to enter and times are tough right now. Welcome to the ATW St Albans Half Marathon page. We cannot wait to return to Verulamium Park on Sunday 14th June 2026! We are pleased to announce that the exciting 10K closed road run will be returning. A community focused event, ATW St Albans Half Marathon (a.k.a #icelollyrun) aims to raise money for local charities and organisations as well as put on a great day out for all the family, delivered by runners for runners. In 2025, £1 from every entry was donated to the upkeep of St Albans', Abbey View Running Track, and we are delighted to announce that we will be supporting the track again in 2026. Those looking for a challenge can take on the scenic Half Marathon or Walking Half, which takes you on a challenging but rewarding closed-road route through the country lanes of St Albans. Our closed-road 10K will return for 2026 and is open to everyone over the age of 15 and will start alongside the half-marathon runners. (There is no time limit on the 10k)  ​Our 5K is open to everyone over 11, and is always a popular distance to take part in. The Family Fun Run is open to all ages, however children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult with their own ticket, for any distance. if you would like to receive a fun run medal, you must purchase your own fun run ticket. This ever popular Fun Run includes our primary School Challenge. The Walking Half Marathon Course The ATW St Albans Half Marathon walking route may have a couple of hills on the route, but the views make it worthwhile! Grab your friends and take on this walking challenge. All walkers will receive a half marathon medal and an ice lolly at this finish. - Walking entrants must be able to complete the course in 5hrs. The 10K Course This fantastic closed road 10K course is perfect for all runners. The 10K will start alongside the half marathon, for an extra special event experience. Whether you’re a budding athlete looking to race hard or new to running and wanting to tackle a shorter distance. Participants must be able to complete the course in 55mins. The Fun Run Course The 1.5 Mile Fun Run is great for all the family and is the largest Fun Run in Hertfordshire. Starting under the main event arch the fun run will loop around the parkland before finishing on the home straight of the running track. This year the Fun Run will have a rolling start. This means you can start in any of our waves, between 8:45 & 9:15. We recommend that families with prams, start in the last waves. Run Nation's Coquet is a beautiful course situated on the roads up and down the Coquet Valley, starting and finishing in the town of Rothbury. The hilly nature of the run increases the scenic views, proving popular with those who have ran the race previously. Chip timing will be used on this accurately measured route. Regent's Park is the perfect setting for a fast and traffic-free Sunday morning 10k or 5K. The course covers an accurately measured 5k route wholly within the park and attracts runners of all abilities. Runners doing the 10k distance will do 2 laps of the course.

While we do not offer refunds or transfers to another person, we provide a hassle-free event transfer option for those unable to attend their booked event. If you are unable to participate in your scheduled event for any reason—including injury, illness, pregnancy, bereavement, or other unforeseen circumstances—you can transfer your entry to any future ATW event. There is no proof required, we trust you! Even better news, transfers can be made all the way up to 48 hours before your original event date.   ATW Community At ATW we think of our participants as a community and we love to hear about the community's dreams and achievments.
