We’re taking the tribute act out of the pub and into the park for the whole family to enjoy, combining live music, a DJ, on-course music guides, professional photography and finisher’s medals to create a fully immersive themed race experience.






Come and join us Run Media City 5k & 10k on Thursday 27th August 2026 Come and join us on Thursday, 27th August 2026 for the next event in the 2026 Run Media City 5k & 10k Series. Starting and finishing in the centre of Media City you will head out around a 2.5km loop that runs over the canal and runs past the imperial war museum along with the ITV and BBC television studios. The race involves laps, the course is flat and quick. There will be 2 lap for the 5k, 4 laps for the 10k. The course follows the paths and pavements inside the centre of media city. This is not a closed road race. Each kilometre will be accurately marked out and we have plenty of helpers to encourage you on your way to the finish line. Phoenix Running is inviting you to our brand new 'Duck n Run "" Totally Quackers' Run series and this is the single day entry for day 7 - quack, quack. Each day has brand new giant spinning duck medal with up to 10 colours to collect and as if that wasn't enough to get your wings flapping, you'll also receive an actual rubber ducky, themed for each day - bath times will never be the same again! You can enter any of the days individually or any combination of days, or, why not try our 5in5, 7in7 or perhaps even the complete Ten in Ten (TiT) Summer race series 2026. This is one of our timed events where you choose - from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra, you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like of a 5.3km, 3.28 mile, out and back, course along the beautiful river Thames. We welcome all abilities of runner - complete one lap and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes, or keep going and see how far you can get in the full time limit and everyone gets the fabulous bespoke finishers' medal. Take on the Leeds Running Festival In Support of St. Gemma’s Hospice on Sunday 30th August 2026 Join us for a meaningful and memorable run at the Leeds Running Festival on Sunday 30th August 2026. Set in the heart of Roundhay Park, one of Europe’s largest city parks, this event offers a 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon with something for everyone from first timers to seasoned runners. Run in support of St. Gemma’s Hospice, a vital part of the Leeds community providing compassionate care. The scenic, road and gravel route offers peaceful views of lakes, woodland, and wide open parkland in a professionally organised and supportive environment. Come and join Saturn Running for our annual GNR & Time Turner event 2026 - whether you're looking to get some miles under your belt before The Great North Run or you just fancy a run along the beautiful River Wear, then this is the event for you! Date & time: Sunday 30th of August 2026 Official start time: 9.30am Location: Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Ln, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU Distance & Time This is a 7 hour Time Challenge event which allows you full control over the distance you want to run. The minimum distance is 5km, which is part of a full lap. A full lap is 4.37 miles (7km) and you can run as many or as few of these laps as you wish in the 7 hour time limit. Please note, we may use the 3.28 mile course at this venue and we will advise closer to the time. Course The course is along a beautiful stretch of the River Wear with views of the Cathedral and is classified as a trail run. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. All abilities are welcome at our super-inclusive events and we also welcome walkers too. Medals & Pins As long as you complete one lap, you will be an official finisher and you will receive one of our fantastic themed medals! We also have distance pins available for anyone who runs a half-marathon distance or more. Pins available to collect are our Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km and Ultra pins. You will receive one pin on the ribbon of your medal to reflect your achievement. Goody Bag Absolutely! You earned the calories after all, so all our finishers get a goody bag. As well as our standard goody bag, with a selection of various goodies to choose from, we also have a fabulous vegan goody bag for our vegan runners. Aid Table We have a fantastic aid table and drinks table at the start / finish of each lap. There is an incredible selection of drinks and savoury or sweet snacks such as crisps, cheese, fruit and cookies with vegan options also available. Special Event If our event is a special event for you, for instance your 50th, 99th, 100th, 150th, 200th, 250th etc. marathon or half marathon then please let us know. We will provide you with a great number with your name and the event date on it. Also, if it is your birthday, again let us know and we will get you a special number for your birthday! Venue Facilities Toilets and changing facilities are available at the race HQ. Bag drop is near the start and finish area. Runners should be aware the bag drop is not staffed and items are left at the sole responsibility of the participant. No liability for lost items will be accepted by the Organiser. Car Parking There is nearby free on-street parking or pay and display city centre parking. Race Day Instructions & Number Pick Up Final race day instructions will be sent out via email 7-10 days prior to the event with full race day information. Number pick up is on the day at race registration before the start of the event. Other Information There will be somewhere to leave a bag at the start / finish area. However, this is not a secure bag and the items cannot be watched at all times so please do not leave anything valuable. Headphones are allowed. Our running events are held on public footpaths so we would be grateful if all runners were considerate of other path users.
