A typical 10K time ranges from 40 to 70 minutes. Beginners usually finish in 55–70 minutes, intermediate runners in 45–55 minutes, and experienced runners under 45 minutes.
Is a 10K a good step up from 5K?
Yes — the 10K (6.2 miles) is the natural progression from a 5K. Most runners can train for a 10K in 8–12 weeks after completing their first 5K.
How much do 10K events cost in the UK?
Entry fees for UK 10K events typically range from £15 to £45 depending on the event. Major city races tend to be at the higher end.
TrailFest - Salcey Forest is our multi-distance day of running and moving around the beautiful Salcey Forest. With 10k, half marathon, marathon and 50k there is a distance to suit everyone!
The idea of the day is to bring everyone together and to experience the fun of trail running in an amazing forest. Being around others doing what seems impossible can often make it seem a lot more possible too!! If you want to come and run your personal best or bimble about with your mates we’ve got the perfect distance for you.
We’ve got vey generous cut off times too, to try and remove some of those barriers to new people trying out the sport
As the event is run under a UK Athletics/ Trail Running Association license there are no dogs allowed at any of the events.
