10K Running Events in Yorkshire and the Humber 2026–2027

A fast fun packed forest trail run with some challenging uphills and rewarding downhills! Starting in Meanwood, the Holly Hustle takes in some of the best trails that Leeds has to offer. A combination of beautiful Meanwood Park and the Hollies, famous for well-kept paths through extensive woodlands, with a vast collection of different species of flowers. Then onto the marvellous Meanwood Valley Trail, past the Seven Arches viaduct and Adel Crag. This course at this time of year is very likely to be a mud bath, we’d like to recommend all runners to wear appropriate footwear. Due to the nature of the course (narrow paths, technical sections) headphones are not recommended for this event. This course contains one small private road section (marshalled) and runners will be advised to stay on the pavement where possible. This means we can minimise waste and also keep down the cost of the standard entry for all. If you fancy doing a good deed, you could also opt to make a 'Trees not Tees' donation. This will pay for a tree to be planted...an ever-growing memento of your race day! Please note optional extras are only available for a certain time before race date. CIRCUIT RUNNING welcomes you to our inaugural event here at the University of York. With this being a 6 hour challenge everyone is welcome at our events whether you run or walk. The event will start at 9:40am and registration will open at 9:10am.  The course is 2.2 miles long 1.1 out and back along the footpaths around the university, there is a small incline in the middle of the out and back.The course is predominantly on a tarmac path with a small grass section at the start/finish of each lap. There will be a mini lap for those doing 5k and 10k. 6 laps is a half marathon, 12 laps for a marathon and 13 plus for an ultra marathon There'll be a aid table at the end of each lap with water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of different foods like sweets, biscuits plus lots more for you to help yourself to every time you pass the aid table. You can start your last lap up until 5:59:59 hrs. Toilets will be at the York Sport Centre. After finishing you'll receive a bespoke medal and a 5 piece goody bag for your hard earned effort. Great Owl Running presents Kirkstall Calverley Cutter and Kirkstall Bridge 10km. A 16km Trail Race taking in the sights of the fantastic Leeds Liverpool Canal, River Aire and the brutal Calverley Cutting. And Kirkstall Bridge 10km, a fast, flat, out-and-back canal run suitable for all runners. Race registration takes place at the award-winning Kirkstall Bridge, a cosy warm atmosphere after what will certainly be a very cold January race! Although the route is relatively simple the course will be fully marked and marshalled at key areas. The race will start just a hop away from the pub on the Leeds Liverpool Canal.  Note: Due to the ongoing flood relief works along the River Aire we may need to divert the course slightly. This will be decided close to the race date. Runners will trail along the tranquil Leeds to Liverpool Canal (Kirkstall). This out and back route is an entirely flat route, making it perfect for beginners who want to take in the beautiful lakeside sights. The flat surfaces are also ideal for seasoned athletes who are looking to smash through their PB's. There will be plenty of water and aids stations located throughout the course. Please note that bibs will be given out on the day of registration.
