About this event

Our annual Ouse Valley Way Marathon and Half Marathon 2026. Through the county of Huntingdonshire, the Ouse Valley is 26.2 miles long and we have created a scenic route from Earith to Eynesbury, running along and near to the river. This flat route is a mix of grass, gravel and tarmac paths. Taxi travel to the starts As these are point-to-point races, cars can be parked at the finish in Earith and taxi travel to the starts is available. We will contact you to ask if you would like taxi travel and this is charged at £10 per person. Race permit number: 8100

The course

In the old county of Huntingdonshire, the Ouse Valley Way Marathon is a 26.2 mile scenic route from Eynesbury to Earith. This is a flat course across grass, gravel and tarmac paths traveling along the river, through meadows, small villages, historic towns, and nature reserves. Both distances are point to point. Parking is available at the finish of the marathon and half marathon. Before the race starts a bus can transport runners from the finish at Earith to Eynesbury for the start of the marathon and Godmanchester for the Half. Getting there

There is ample car parking at The Crystal Ship in Earith; however, competitors are requested to car share if possible and to follow marshal’s instructions to ensure that cars are parked safely and considerately. For an additional fee, a coach is available to take people from the parking at the finish to the start.

Free and all day parking is available at the finish which is The Crystal Ship Cafe and Bar in Earith and transport to the start is available.

Can I defer or get a refund?

Entries are non-refundable and unfortunately cannot be deferred but transfers to another runner are available until midnight on 18/09/2025

How do I book the taxi

We will send details closer to the date of the races.

What shoes should I wear?

If the weather is dry before the race, road shoes are suitable. If the weather has been wet, more grippy trail shoes with smaller lugs, are recommended, rather than those for rocky surfaces.
