RUNNING GRAND PRIX AT GOODWOOD MOTOR CIRCUIT – SUNDAY 11TH OCTOBER 2026! Come and join us for this 5k,10k, half marathon, 20mile, marathon & 50k at this historic Goodwood motor circuit At the world-famous Goodwood Motor Circuit, home to the Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival, you will enjoy the thrill of racing your way to a new chip-timed personal best on this smooth traffic-free tarmac motor racing circuit. Located at the foot of the Sussex Downs, the track is the only classic circuit in the world to remain entirely in its original form. Goodwood Motor Circuit originally opened its gates to the public on September 1948, to host Britain’s very first post-war motor race meeting at a permanent venue. Come and enjoy the day with us we hope to see you there!





About The Event Come and join us for our annual spooky Scare Bear Run! The Care Bears were a staple of anyone who grew up in the 80's and even if you never liked them or don't have a clue who we're even talking about, I'm sure you will admit that they make for a super cute (slightly scary) medal to earn! All abilities are welcome at our super-inclusive events and we also welcome walkers too. Date & time: Sunday 11th of October 2026 Official start time 9.30am Location: Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Ln, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU Distance & Time This is a 7 hour Time Challenge event which allows you full control over the distance you want to run. The minimum distance is 5km, which is part of a full lap. A full lap is 4.37 miles (7km) and you can run as many or as few of these laps as you wish in the 7 hour time limit. Please note, we may use the 3.28 mile course at this venue and we will advise closer to the time. Course The course is along a beautiful stretch of the River Wear with views of the Cathedral and is classified as a trail run. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. All abilities are welcome at our super-inclusive events and we also welcome walkers too. Medals & Pins As long as you complete 5km, you will be an official finisher and you will get one of our incredible Scare Bear themed medals! We also have distance pins available for anyone who runs a half-marathon distance or more. Pins available to collect are our Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km and Ultra pins. You will receive one pin on the ribbon of your medal to reflect your achievement. Goody Bag Absolutely! You have earned these replacement calories after all, so all our finishers get a great goody bag. You will have a selection of goodies to choose from. As well as our standard goody bag, we have a vegan goody bag too. Please let us know if you are vegan or if you prefer a vegan goody bag when you enter and we can have this ready for you. Aid Table We have a fantastic aid table and drinks table at the start / finish of each lap. There is an incredible selection of drinks and savoury or sweet snacks such as crisps, cheese, fruit and cookies with vegan options also available. Special Event If our event is a special event for you, for instance your 50th, 99th, 100th, 150th, 200th, 250th etc. marathon or half marathon then please let us know. We will provide you with a great number with your name and the event date on it. Also, if it is your birthday, again let us know and we will get you a special number for your birthday! Venue Facilities Toilets and changing facilities are available at the race HQ. Bag drop is near the start and finish area. Runners should be aware the bag drop is not staffed and items are left at the sole responsibility of the participant. No liability for lost items will be accepted by the Organiser. Car Parking There is nearby free on-street parking or pay and display city centre parking. Race Day Instructions & Number Pick Up Final race day instructions will be sent out via email 7-10 days prior to the event with full race day information. Number pick up is on the day at race registration before the start of the event. Other Information There will be somewhere to leave a bag at the start / finish area. However, this is not a secure bag and the items cannot be watched at all times so please do not leave anything valuable. Headphones are allowed. Our running events are held on public footpaths so we would be grateful if all runners were considerate of other path users.


The Bath & Bristol Railway Races follow the route of the original train line from Green Park Station in Bath to Bristol Temple Meads and this route is the flattest of all the races in our calendar! The route is 100% tarmac, offering a road race like experience through the green countryside and into the heart of Bristol. The trainline was in use from 1869 - 1971 and between 1979 and 1986, Sustrans converted the railway path into whatwould become the first route on the National Cycle Network. Along the route you will find historic and active nods to the routes heritage. The Half Marathon runs out and back to Bitton Train Station, with 2.5km in each direction running alongside the Avon Valley Railway, an active heritage line that still runs on the original route today. The 25km, Marathon and 50km run alongside the Avon Valley Railway station at Bitton and onwards to Bristol, passing restored signal boxes, picturesque stations at Warmley and Mangotsfield. The 450m long Staple Hill Tunnel is on the route of the 25km, Marathon and 50km race. It is significantly larger than the tunnels at the Two Tunnels and Wye Valley Tunnel Run as the route had two railway lines running through the tunnel. The Staple Hill Tunnel is well lit.

Join us for one of the biggest racing events in Essex whilst supporting the wonderful work of Little Havens Children's Hospice Sunday 11 October, 09:00 Chelmsford, Essex Marathon & Half Marathon Road, Undulating Overview This award winning race, sponsored by Countryside and L&Q's flagship residential development in Chelmsford, is hugely popular amongst runners and comes highly recommended for it's great course, race day atmosphere, enthusiastic marshals and well-appointed event village. Both the marathon and half marathon are accurately measured courses and often used as a good for age qualifying event. Both courses are undulating and run through the tree lined avenues of Central park out onto the rural country lanes. Please note: there is a six hour cut off for this event. By entering the race, becoming a Havens Hero and thanks to your donations, you contribute to helping families make every day of their lives count. In 2025, you helped to raise an incredible grand total of £53,082.82 for this special cause! HEROES Race Entry If you select to register for the race on a HAVENS HEROES ticket, then your entry will include a £16 donation to Little Havens. This additional contribution could cover the cost of providing half an hour of essential care at the hospice, making a real difference to a child or young person in need. Join us at the Lee Valley Velo Park Half Maathon, 10 Miles, 10k, 5k, 1 Mile & Junior Race on Saturday 17th October 2026 The Lee Valley VeloPark series returns on Saturday 17th October 2026, offering you a chance to run a Half Marathon, 10 Mile, 10k, 5k or Mile on this unique and gently undulating Moto GP styled circuit. The Lee Valley VeloPark’s one-mile floodlit road circuit is the perfect course to test yourself over a new distance or check your pacing with each mile split chip timed for you to view after the race. As one of the London 2012 Olympic venues, you can’t help but feel inspired to give it your all on this course as we are there to cheer you all the way round to the finish!!
