Half Marathon Events

We're absolutely delighted to be back at the wonderful Denbies Wine Estate for our summer 'Denbies Double' on our usual running weekend in August. We're kicking things off with our very popular 'Painted Cow' run inspired by the Denbies painted cows located outside the garden shop. In 2026 well be making a medal out of the 'other' cow and the medal really is epic. This is one of our timed events where you choose - from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like of a 5.3km, 3.28 mile, looped course around the beautiful Denbies Wine Estate within the overall 7 hour time limit. We welcome all abilities of runner - complete one loop and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes, or keep going and see how far you can get in the full 7 hour time limit and everyone gets the fabulous bespoke finishers' medal. We also operate our uniquely flexible 'rock up and run' start times within a 1.5 hour start window, so no waiting around if you arrive early and no added pressure if you're running a bit late. If you have any special start time requirements then just get in touch because depending on the distance you are planning to run we can pretty much accommodate all start time requests. Whilst Phoenix Running is very much about the bling and our medals are second to none, we're also acutely conscious that events can be expensive to enter and times are tough right now. We're now in our 11th year of fixed prices for our standard themed events, but to try and do our bit we're trailing a 'no medal' entry option at a flat £22. We cover our base costs, you get a run with all the usual Phoenix support, epic aid station, same day results published, athletes profiles, Phoenix World, digital BIBs, digital finishers certificates, etc, etc but without a medal we can keep the price low for this entry option. Not sure? Well the beauty of this format is that you don't even need to decide in advance - simply come and run a lap and see how you feel on the day and keep on going if it feels right. Places will be strictly limited so don't leave it too late to enter. Minimum distance is 3.28 miles or as far as you can go in 7 hours. The Thames Meander event is a stunning riverside race series starting in the Small Profit Dock Gardens (Barnes) which is adjacent to the Barnes Sports Club Race HQ, The Club House, 261 Lonsdale Rd, London SW13 9QL. The run-route starts within the park area at the Small Profit Dock Gardens and heads out across Barnes Bridge towards Kew Gardens along the Thames Path trail all the way to the Petersham & Ham Sea Scouts on this very scenic out and back route. All three race distances the marathon, half marathon and 10km are very fast, flat on a runnable route proceeding all along the Thames Path, and the course will be well marked and marshalled all the way along. The Check Points will be stocked, and there is excellent medical support throughout from our KLP Medical Support Team. Our Check Points will be located at the CP1 Start / Finish – Small Profit Dock Gardens (Barnes), CP2 Kew Gardens Car Park (Ferry Lane) and CP3 Petersham & Ham Sea Cadets, Petersham. Half Marathon Route: This will be a x1 13.1 mile out and back loop for the half marathon, starting at the Small Profit Dock Gardens (Barnes) heading out along the Thames Path to Petersham & Ham Sea Scouts CP3, the turnaround point on this out and back run-route. Join us at the Lee Valley Velo Park Half Maathon, 10 Miles, 10k, 5k, 1 Mile & Junior Race on Saturday 15th August 2026 The Lee Valley VeloPark series returns on Saturday 15th August 2026, offering you a chance to run a Half Marathon, 10 Mile, 10k, 5k or Mile on this unique and gently undulating Moto GP styled circuit. The Lee Valley VeloPark’s one-mile floodlit road circuit is the perfect course to test yourself over a new distance or check your pacing with each mile split chip timed for you to view after the race. As one of the London 2012 Olympic venues, you can’t help but feel inspired to give it your all on this course as we are there to cheer you all the way round to the finish!!

The ultimate London Beer Run is back in Wimbledon! The Wombles, the mud, the delicious half pints of Craft Beer return. Are you in? Phoenix Running Crystal Palace is inviting you to join us for 'Retro Run’ in Crystal Palace Park. Grab your family and friends for a retro run style, it’s time to move. The beauty of this format is that you don't even need to decide in advance, simply come and run 2 laps and see how you feel on the day and keep on going if it feels right. The course will be well marked, minimum distance is 3.30 miles or as far as you can go in the time limit. Off road trail. A great park to run around with good tarmac and gravel pathways. Age limit - 18 years old and above. This event is licensed by Trail Running Association and will adhere to the UK Athletics rules. The course is path, we recommend road/trail shoes depending on the weather. The course features a series of gentle undulations with challenging steep sections that rise sharply, creating a dynamic and varied landscape for participants to navigate. BATTERSEA PARK MARATHON, HALF MARATHON & JUNIOR RACE ON SATURDAY 24TH OCTOBER 2026 Battersea Park is one of London’s most picturesque parks and has been a favourite course for those wanting to run a PB! The course is totally flat, offering the perfect opportunity to push yourself to a personal best.
