You'd be an April Fool to miss this one. Enjoy a trip up the Leeds and Liverpool Canal from Rodley. With distances ranging from 10k to Marathon, all along the flat, even towpath, this event is perfect for runners of all abilities, from novices to Ultra PB chasers! One to warm the depths of your heart. A popular event and a return to the Leeds Liverpool canal this time from the heart of Rodley. The tow path on this event is great underfoot and is flat out and back.    Elevation: Flat (apart from the locks) Terrain: Good Trail Feed/drink stations every 3 miles Marshalled and signed course. Toilets are available at the start Bespoke medal and lots of treats for all finishers.   Getting to us: Registration: https://w3w.co/clips.expand.descended By Bus: Rodley is well connected by bus from Leeds or Keighley, Shipley, Bingley or Bradford. By Car: Parking is available at the Cricket Club in Rodley, the cost of parking is £5 cash payable at registration. There is on-road parking around Rodley, please park sensibly and do not double park. Car sharing is a great idea. Distances and times & Registration Registration Opens from 07:30 – please allow yourself sufficient time to park, register and use the loos. Our races are licenced from the Trail Running Association   10k 10:00 start 1 x Loop 10 Miles 08:30 start 1 x Loop Half Marathon 09:00 start 1 x Loop 20 Miler 08:30 start 2 x 10 mile loop Marathon 08:30 start 2 x Half loop   During the race important things to note: We try to be cup-less: Our feed stations are normally around every three miles and offer drinks and a range of food but please bring your own re-usable cup or bottle. Headphones: Most of our courses are off road but we still prefer you not to wear earphones and due to oncourse incidents, we have taken the decision to ask you not to wear large over ear headphones. These block out any other sounds and don't allow runners to hear marshals, vehicles or other users of the route. If you do need to wear earphones, then please use bone conducting earphones or "one in one out" in ear pieces. Please note, there may will be unmarshalled road crossings. Know your route: We offer downloadable GPX files for our routes. Our routes are mainly off road and not every corner or junction will have a marshal. Please ensure you have a version of the route to help you navigate. Withdrawal: If you need to withdraw during an event please let the nearest marshal know. In certain circumstances we allow runners to drop distances during an event. Please speak to the timers or RD at the end of your run. Transfers/Deferrals: You can self-serve your transfer on our website, this can be done up to 7 days before the event We no longer mail out a race brief as most of the information is here on the website however we advise you to visit our FAQ section and join the “Grim Up North Chat” group on Facebook which will help with any other questions you have.   This event is licensed by the TRA under UKA Rules
