Set in the charming village of Thames Ditton, Surrey, the half marathon offers a fast and flat course that winds through the stunning riverside grounds of the historic Hampton Court Palace. Participants will kick off their race with an initial closed road loop around Thames Ditton, before making their way through the ancient marketplace of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. Runners will be treated to a picturesque 3-mile stretch along the iconic Barge Walk beside the Thames, culminating in a spectacular view of Hampton Court Palace after 10 miles. This route, known for its potential for personal bests, features a variety of surfaces including pavement, pedestrian tracks, and beautiful parks. All finishers will be rewarded with a stylish tech tee and a finisher medal, making this an event not to be missed! The original Hampton Court Half Marathon celebrates its 14th year in 2027. One of South West London’s major running events, the Hampton Court Half Marathon is highly rated as preparation for a Spring marathon or a major distance race in its own right: This is the original Hampton Court Half Marathon and is run over a fast, flat and visually interesting course that borders the river-side grounds of the magnificent Hampton Court Palace to the South West of London. King Henry VIII and his Tudor entourage will be there to cheer everyone on! Runners enjoy an initial closed road loop around the picturesque village of Thames Ditton, pass through the historic Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames ancient marketplace, follow the iconic 3 mile stretch of the Barge Walk beside the Thames, and reach the magnificent Hampton Court Palace after 10 miles. The route follows pavement, pedestrian/cycle track, riverside way, and tarmac paths through parks and is well recognised for its PB potential. All finishers will receive a top tech tee and a finisher medal.
