Dalby Forest Headtorch Challenge

Get ready for an exhilarating adventure at the Dalby Forest Headtorch Challenge, hosted by Trail Blazing Events on Saturday, January 23, 2027! This unique race promises an unforgettable experience as participants navigate through the stunning single tracks and trails of Dalby Forest, primarily untouched by the public. With race distances yet to be fully detailed, one thing is for sure: this event will test your skills and sense of humor as you tackle the challenges of running in the dark. Registration opens at the Dalby Forest Visitor Centre at 4:45 pm, followed by a pre-race briefing at 5:50 pm, leading up to the thrilling race start at 6:00 pm. With an entry fee of just £19.00 plus a booking fee, this event is not to be missed! Please note that the minimum age for participants is 16 years, and with a cap of 650 entries due to parking restrictions, be sure to secure your spot before online registration closes on January 19, 2027, at 11:45 am. All finishers will receive a medal, with awards for the top five males and females, making this an event filled with excitement and camaraderie. Don’t forget your head

This race will be on single tracks and trails through the forest,  mostly unused by the public, and some will only run on for our event. Headtorch racing is fun and challenging; don't forget your sense of humour.  You will get dirty, so be prepared. This is Pure Trail Running in the dark!  If you don't have a headtorch, they can be purchased online from around £15.00 or just use a hand-held torch. Head torches WILL NOT be on sale on the night of the event. For insurance purposes, the minimum age for this event is 16 years old on the night. Online entries close 19/01/2027 at 11:45am Timetable  Registration opens in the Dalby Forest Visitor Centre at 4:45 pm. Pre-race briefing 5.50 pm. Race start time 6:00 pm. Entry price  Individual entry price is £19.00 plus the booking fee of £1.90 per entry. Please note, there will be NO on-the-night entry for this event.
