The Pumpkin Marathon & Spooky Halloween Challenge

Get ready for a spooktacular day of fun and fitness at The Pumpkin Marathon and Spooky Halloween Challenge, hosted by How Hard Can It Be Events! Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 31, 2026, as Burroughs Bank in Lightmoor, Telford transforms into a thrilling racecourse. Choose from a variety of distances including 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, and Marathon, with the Pumpkin Marathon kicking off at 9 AM (8 AM for the Marathon) and the Spooky Challenge starting at 4 PM (2 PM for the Marathon). With limited entries of just 40 participants per race, this is a fantastic opportunity to engage in a spirited Halloween-themed event. Runners will enjoy a supportive atmosphere with well-stocked aid stations every mile, ensuring you stay energized with water, squash, sweets, and more. Don’t forget to wear your best fancy dress to embrace the Halloween spirit and compete for the best costume! As the sun sets, grab your head torch and prepare for some spooky fun on the lanes of Lightmoor. Join us for a day filled with running, camaraderie, and Halloween thrills!

Choice of 5k, 10k, Half Marathon and Marathon distance at both events Entries are now open for “The Pumpkin Marathon” and “Spooky Halloween Challenge”. Start time for the Pumpkin Marathon will be 9AM (8am Marathon) and The Spooky will start at 4PM (2pm Marathon). Both races will be held on Burroughs Bank in Lightmoor, Telford. Places will be limited to 40 places for each race, so get in early! There is a 6 hour cut off for each race, but if you need longer please email us to discuss. These are multi-lap races and there will be a well-stocked aid station every mile with water, squash, coke, sweets and other treats to keep you going, as well as friendly marshals offering full support. Fancy dress is encouraged for both of these spooky events – get into the spirit and scare your fellow runners!! In the evening there will be plenty of opportunities to scare yourself on the lanes of Lightmoor – head torches are a MUST for the Spooky!!
