About this event

Southampton Running Festival on Sunday 16th August 2026 Join us for the return of the Southampton Running Festival and our second event here this year. Beginning and ending in the picturesque Southampton Common. It’s the perfect route for a PB featuring woodland, grassland, ponds, wetlands, lakes and parkland in the well used green open space in the centre of the city. Southampton Common is a designated “Site of Special Scientific Interest” and an excellent venue for running, walking, and watching wildlife.

The course

The Half Marathon consists of 6 laps with a U-turn at the start, the 10k has 3 laps and the 5k has 2 smaller laps. The various routes will include gentle undulating tarmac paths before finishing under the arch on the gravel stretch adjacent to the event village.

Parking

Parking is available around the surrounding areas of ‘The Common’ as well as multiple car parks within the city centre which are a short walk away.
