Christmas Canter - 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon & Ultra

Get ready to celebrate the festive season with the Christmas Canter, hosted by Zig Zag Running! This exciting event will take place on Saturday, December 19th, 2026, at the picturesque Suffolk Running Centre, located at Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to finish the year, this event offers a variety of race distances to suit everyone—choose from 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon, or even an Ultra! Kick off the day with a mass start at 9 am and enjoy the scenic routes that are designed for social interaction and camaraderie. With a seven-hour cut-off, you can run at your own pace and fully embrace the festive spirit. The event will feature aid stations every 10k, ensuring you stay hydrated and fueled. Plus, all participants will receive a bespoke finisher medal, and those feeling lucky can opt for a fun lucky dip finisher option! Don’t forget to bring your own bottles or cups as the event is cupless to promote sustainability. It's DECEMBER so what better way to finish the year with a Christmas Event Come and join us at our exclusive venue at Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX It's a seven-hour cut off and a mass start at 9am. Your race, your pace, your distance!     This race offers you a number of distance choices - 5k, 10k, Half, Full or Ultra     Those doing under a half marathon distance will travel along an out and back, being turned around required, making it a very social route.     The half marathon will be one loop, 2 loops for the full marathon and then the run to the 5k turnaround point for an ultra.     We will be utilizing the Hargrave Half (Mount Barrow for 5k and 10k) There will be an aid station of drinks and nibbles every 10k. Parking is also included in your entry price.      The Race HQ/Base Camp is located at the start and Lap point and at the base camp we will have our water/aid station. Upon entry you will receive an email confirmation from your entry portal and Zig Zag Running.  This will also contain the link to the race briefing information pack.     We have designed a Bespoke medal for the event, which you will receive at the end of the race.   Or if you choose the lucky dip finisher option (if available), you will choose from a selection of previous or finisher medal. Please note the event has gone cupless - so please bring your own bottles or cups for refilling. With it being close to Christmas - why not come along in fancy dress - whilst not compulsory, it will add some fun to the event.
