The event kicks off at 9:00 AM with the Half Marathon, followed by the 10k at 9:30 AM and the 5k at 9:45 AM. Each race features a flat, multi-terrain route that showcases the stunning grounds of the historic Elvaston Castle, including its iconic hall and famous Golden Gates. Join us for the Derby Running Festival 5k, 10k & Half Marathon Sunday 2nd August 2026 Come and join us at the Derby Running Festival at Elvaston Castle Country Park! We’d love you to join us for our fourth year of the 5k, 10k and Half Marathon Running Festival around the grounds of Elvaston Castle Country Park. The course follows a flat multi-terrain route on a mixture of trail, tarmac and footpaths, going through the castle’s grade II listed grounds, past the iconic hall and the famous Golden Gates. This Run Britain/UKA licensed, officially measured race is open to runners of all abilities.
