Participants can choose between two exciting race distances: the 22K route, which starts in Hope Village and takes you on a scenic climb up Win Hill, offering panoramic views of the valley before winding through lush forests and along picturesque riverside paths; or the challenging 54K course that promises a true test of endurance, featuring stunning reservoirs, rugged moorland, and iconic landmarks such as Back Tor and Derwent Edge. Join us for Ladybower Reservoir Trail Running Festival 2026 on Saturday 26 September 2026 Set out from Hope Village for a day of Peak District trail running with wide views, classic climbs, and flowing forest paths. Choose your challenge and enjoy clear waymarking, enthusiastic marshals, stocked aid stations, and a welcoming finish beside friends and family. 22K Route: Start in Hope Village and climb onto Win Hill for panoramic views across Hope Valley. Descend into the forest to pick up rolling riverside paths toward the Thornhill Trail, then return through Aston to the finish in Hope. Expect varied terrain, confident footing, and great supporter spots near the village. 54K: Begin in Hope Valley and summit Win Hill before stretching out across the reservoir edges of Ladybower, Derwent, and Howden. Your final upland section crosses the moors to Back Tor, Derwent Edge, and Whinstone Lee Tor, then drops to the Thornhill Trail for the run back into Hope.
