The Lakeside Dash is designed for everyone, from beginners to seasoned trail runners, with well-maintained, undulating trails and fully marshalled courses ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. Participants can expect feed and drink stations approximately every three miles, along with a bespoke finisher medal and plenty of post-race treats to celebrate your achievement. With registration starting at 8:00 AM and the race kicking off at 9:00 AM, come and immerse yourself in this unforgettable running event amidst the natural beauty of North Yorkshire!

Event Description Experience one of Yorkshire’s most scenic running routes with our stunning 6.7-mile reservoir loop. This beautiful trail takes you around Fewston and Swinsty Reservoirs, offering peaceful woodland paths, off-road terrain, and breathtaking autumn colours. With calm waters, rich copper leaves, and quiet countryside tracks, it’s an unforgettable run for beginners and seasoned trail runners alike. What’s Included - - Elevation: Undulating, suitable for all abilities - - - Terrain: Well-maintained, good-quality trail paths - - - Feed & Drink Stations: Available approximately every 3 miles - - - Fully Marshalled & Signed Course: Clear direction and on-course support - - - Finisher Rewards: Bespoke medal plus plenty of post-race treats - - - Facilities: Public toilets available in the car park - Getting Here - - Registration Location: - what3words: https://w3w.co/pianists.curl.fail - - - Parking: - Convenient public pay-and-display parking located next to the registration area. - Race Information & Start Times Registration opens at 8:00am – please allow at least one hour to park, register, and use the facilities. All races are fully TRA-licensed (Trail Running Association). Start Times (all at 9:00am): - - 6.7 Miles - - - Half Marathon - - - 20-Mile Race - - - Marathon - Important Race Day Information Cup-Less Event We aim to reduce waste and operate as a cup-less event. Feed stations (every ~3 miles) provide drinks and a variety of snacks, but please bring a reusable cup or bottle. Road Shoes are recommended Headphone Policy Your safety is our priority. Please do not wear over-ear headphones as they block essential sound from marshals, other runners, and road users. If headphones are required, use: - - Bone-conducting headphones, or - - - One-in, one-out in-ear headphones - Note: There may be unmarshalled road crossings on the route. Transfers & Deferrals You can easily self-serve transfers or deferrals via the Grim Up North website free of charge. Avoid making changes on race day as this causes delays at registration. If we process the transfer for you, a £5 admin fee may apply. Retiring from the Race If you become unwell, injured, or unable to continue, inform the nearest marshal immediately.
