Get ready for an unforgettable running experience at the Intergalactic event, organised by Long Player Running! Scheduled for Saturday, March 27th, 2027, this exciting trail event takes place in the beautiful Hurn Forest, offering a stunning backdrop for runners of all abilities. Participants can choose their race distance, from a refreshing 5K to a challenging ultra-marathon, with the option to complete laps on a well-maintained 5.3km (3.28 mile) out-and-back course. The Intergalactic event is not only a fantastic opportunity to enjoy nature and challenge yourself, but it's also a chance to contribute to the environment, as 20% of entry fees will go to Forestry England for the upkeep of our treasured forests and trails. With flexible start times from 8 am to 9:30 am, you can arrive when you're ready to run and enjoy the supportive atmosphere. All finishers will receive a medal, celebrating your accomplishment in this vibrant community event. Don't forget to bring your own reusable cup, as we aim to reduce plastic waste. 'Intergalactic' is a trail event suitable for all abilities, set in the stunning Hurn Forest.  The 'out and back' route follows the main forest track, offering participants the opportunity to choose their own distance, from 5K to ultra-marathon. All finishers of one lap or more will receive a medal. Trail shoes are recommended but not essential as the track is hardstanding and well maintained.  20% of entry costs will go to Forestry England to support maintenance of the nation's forests and trails.  We offer flexible start times between 8am and 9.30am. Just turn up when you're ready to run. All participants to finish by 3pm (maximum 7 hours). Number pick-up is on the day at race registration before you start the event. We will have an aid and drinks station at the start/finish of each lap, with a selection of savoury and sweet items. There will also be an area to leave your own items to avoid any kit or fuel-ralated anxiety. Please note we do not provide plastic cups; bring your own. Toilets are available at the cricket club. Final instructions will be sent out via email before the event with full race day information.  Laps are a 5.3km / 3.28 mile, out and back, course. Please note, this event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules.  as per UK Athletics rules, distance restrictions apply to participants ages 20 or under.
