Organised by Phoenix Running Manchester, this special event honors Remembrance Day with a unique twist, offering participants a chance to earn the stunning Lancaster Bomber medal, which has been highly anticipated by the running community. The event features a predominantly tarmac route with a variety of distances to choose from, including 3.28 miles for a single lap, over 10K for two laps, a half marathon (13.1 miles) for four laps, and a full marathon (26.2 miles) for eight laps. For those looking to push their limits, ultra distances can be completed within the designated time limit. The course's gentle elevation of approximately 246 ft per lap will provide a rewarding challenge, while the vibrant atmosphere and support from fellow runners will keep spirits high throughout the day. With registration opening at 7:30 AM and the official event window running from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, this is an event you won’t want to miss! About this event

We're very lucky to have been given permission to host our Remembrance Day 2026 event in Alexandra Park. This year, runners will get the much-requested and anticipated Lancaster Bomber medal. This medal is simply stunning! At 11am, we will all pause for a 2min silence to mark this poignant day. About Alexandra Park Dating back to the 1860s, this stunning green space in North Manchester offers a challenging yet rewarding course that will test both your legs and your lungs. Fear not though - you'll get the full Phoenix Running experience, with fantastic support, plenty of laughs, and a well-stocked aid station to keep you fuelled and hydrated every step of the way. Course & Venue Predominantly tarmac route within Alexandra Park Road shoes suitable in all weather Approx. 246 ft elevation per lap (spicy after a few laps!) 1 lap = 3.28 miles Public toilets and café on site Distances (run as many laps as you like) Plot a Route GPS: https://www.plotaroute.com/route/3166409 Minimum distance: 1 lap is 3.28 miles 2 laps: Just over 10K - 492 ft elevation 4 laps: Half Marathon (13.1 miles) - 984 ft elevation 8 laps: Marathon (26.2 miles) - 1,968 ft elevation 9+ laps: Ultra distance Complete as many laps as you fancy within the time limit. FAQs

What do you stock at the Aid Station?

Selection of sweets, bananas, biscuits, crisps and pretzels. There is a good chance of cake and, if the weather is hot, ice lollies as well. Vegan options and gluten free options are available too. Water, variety of squash and cola will be available.

Are spectators welcome?

Spectators are more than welcome! There is a cafe on site at Alexandra Park serving hot drinks and food.

Is there free parking?

There are free public, council run car parks around Alexandra Park. Please plan your journey in advance. Check for restrictions before parking to avoid fines. There is also on-street parking, please park respectfully in the local area.

Are there toilets?

Council-run toilets are available in the park between 8am-4pm approx.

Flexible Start times?

We offer flexible start times from 8am, simply come to the start area ready to run so we can check you in and set you off as soon as you’re ready.

What is the event cut-off?

The cut-off time is 3:30pm by which time you should be finished running.

Can I leave my bag at the aid station?

We have no ‘official’ baggage check in facility; however you can leave small bags and your own items by a space near the event gazebo.
