Wight Riot

Get ready for the exhilarating Wight Riot, organized by Long Player Running, on Sunday, March 7th, 2027! This unique event takes place along the stunning coastal path at Milford on Sea, offering breathtaking views of the Isle of Wight and the picturesque Sturt Pond Nature Reserve. Runners of all abilities can participate in this mixed terrain adventure, choosing their own distance from 5K to an ultra-marathon. The Wight Riot features a flexible format with start times ranging from 8 AM to 9:30 AM, allowing you to begin your run when you're ready. All finishers who complete at least one lap of the scenic 5.3 km (3.28 miles) out-and-back course will receive a medal. With a maximum time limit of 7 hours to complete your laps, this event is designed to cater to everyone, from casual joggers to seasoned marathoners. Set on the coastal path at Milford on Sea, with fabulous views of the Isle of Wight and taking in Sturt Pond Nature Reserve, this is a mixed terrain event suitable for all abilities. 'Wight Riot' consists of an 'out and back' route along the coast offering participants the opportunity to choose their own distance, from 5K to ultra-marathon. All finishers of one lap or more will receive a medal. We offer flexible start times between 8am and 9.30am. Just turn up when you're ready to run. All runners to finish by 3pm (maximum 7 hours). Number pick-up is on the day at race registration before you start the event. We will have an aid and drinks table at the start/finish of each lap. There will be a selection of savoury and sweet items. There will also be an area to leave your own items. Please note we do not provide plastic cups; bring your own. Public toilets are available at the start / finish area and along the route. Final instructions will be sent out via email before the event with full race day information.  Laps are a 5.3km / 3.28 mile, out and back, course.
