With a variety of race distances to choose from, including a challenging 10-mile race on both Saturday and Sunday, and a thrilling 10k on Monday, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Celebrating its 16th year, this unique, sell-out Bank Holiday weekend event invites runners of all ages and abilities to participate in the Mid Sussex Marathon. Whether you’re looking to tackle an individual race or take on the full marathon distance over three days, the choice is yours! Plus, with family-friendly events like the Mid Sussex Mile and the Fun Run, participants can embrace the spirit of running in a fun and inclusive atmosphere, with fancy dress encouraged! Three towns. Three races. Three days. The Mid Sussex Marathon Weekend returns for it’s 16th year in 2027. This unique, sell-out Bank Holiday weekend event has something for everyone.      Sat 01/05 - Sun 02/05 - Mon 03/05, 10:30    East Grinstead, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, West Sussex    10 Mile, 10k, Mile & Fun Run incl. combo options of Marathon & Triple Mile    Multi Terrain, Undulating Overview This 3 day event commences in East Grinstead on the 1st of May with a 10 mile race, followed by the Haywards Heath 10 mile on the 2nd of May and finishing in Burgess Hill on the 3rd of May with a 10k. Combined, these race make up the Mid Sussex Marathon. Participants can once again challenge themselves to complete an individual town race, or complete the full marathon distance over three days. In addition to the main race on each day, the Mid Sussex Mile race is a chip timed event for anyone aged 7 years and over. For younger participants and new runners, we have the Mid Sussex Fun Run which is family friendly and ideal for all ages... Fancy dress is welcome!  Route Information View and download detailed route maps (including GPX files):               The Virtual Marathon If you sign up to the virtual marathon, you will need to submit evidence of your results to virtual@nice-work.org.uk. You may complete your marathon in one go or over several excursions between Saturday 17th April 2027 at 10:00 and Monday 03rd May 2027 at 18:00. The challenge finishes on Monday 3rd May 2027 at 18:00.
