Set against the beautiful backdrop of High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon IP27 0AF, this exciting running event offers a variety of distances to suit all levels of runners, including 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon, Heavy Half Marathon, Full Marathon, and Ultra Marathon. Whether you're completing your first race or you're a seasoned marathoner, the scenic route promises a memorable experience with exclusive access to the main area. Participants can look forward to a well-organized event with a six-hour cut-off time, friendly aid stations, and complimentary refreshments at the Oak Lodge. Plus, every finisher will receive a bespoke medal, with a chance to select from a lucky dip of previous medals for those who choose the option! The course features a combination of pathways and woodland trails, making it a perfect blend of nature and festive cheer. Dress up in your favorite holiday attire to enhance the joyous atmosphere and join fellow runners for a day filled with fun, camaraderie, and celebration of the season. Christmas is a Coming - join us for our 2nd Christmas run of the season TWAS THE RUN BEFORE CHRISTMAS - BACK For the 6th Time but this time at High Lodge, Thetford Forest, Brandon IP27 0AF At our Twas the Run Before Christmas event, you will join like-minded runners doing different distances. Options include 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon, Heavy Half Marathon, Full Marathon or Ultra Marathon. There is a six-hour event cut off, (if you start at 9am, and 4hour event cut off if you start at 11am) .   The route encompasses a 5.3km loop within the grounds of Thetford Forest. (ROUTE TBC) You may be completing your first official 5k,10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon or even ultra-Marathon, or it may be your 100th or 1000th, the location is pretty self-contained, making this an intimate event with us having exclusive use of the main area and have plenty of open space. A heavy half marathon as standard will be 5 laps (but there is the option to change this on the day to 6 or 7).  An ultra marathon as standard will be 9 laps (but there is the option to increase this, according to time available e.g. upto 12 laps) There will be a water, aid station located at the lap point so no stress of having to carry lots of food, water or equipment. Parking on the day will be discounted to £5 for participants with a QR code   We will be based adjacent to Oak Lodge and will be utilising Oak Lodge for registration and for the provision of your complimentary teas, coffee and cake on completion. There will be a Bespoke medal for the event, which you will receive at the end of the race.   Or if you choose the lucky dip option (if an available option), you will choose from a selection of previous medals. The course will be mainly pathway with a small section of trails and woodland (final route TBC).  Our suggestion is to wear road trainers but depending on the weather before the event you may want to bring trails if you have them but not essential. Whilst not compulsory, festive dress up is welcome to create a bit of Christmas Cheer! PLEASE NOTE THE EVENT IS CUPLESS - SO please bring cups and bottles for refreshment refilling 20% of your entry fee goes towards the upkeep of the forest and the caring of the woodlands.
