Silent Pool 10km

Join us for the exhilarating Silent Pool 10km trail run on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026, organized by Running Adventures in the picturesque Guildford, Surrey. This stunning guided run begins and ends at the iconic Silent Pool, a site rich in history and natural beauty, famously admired by poet Alfred Tennyson. As you traverse some of the most beautiful trails including sections of the North Downs Way and the enchanting Netley Heath forest, you'll be treated to breathtaking views and the chance to discover the charming village of Shere, known for its appearances in films like 'The Holiday' and 'Bridget Jones's Diary'. Whether you're new to trail running or simply want to enjoy a fun, social atmosphere with like-minded individuals, this event is perfect for you! Led by the experienced ultra runner and Salomon ambassador Matt Buck, you can focus on having a great time without worrying about navigation or the route. Join this stunning guided trail run, starting and finishing at Silent Pool, a place admired by poet, Alfred Tennyson, considered a sacred site, haunted by the ghost of a young girl forced into the water by King John in the 1100's and most famously, home to the Silent Pool Gin Distillery. More importantly, it's home to some amazing trails. We will enjoy some great trails including some of the North Downs Way and the beautiful forest of Netley Heath before dropping down to the famous village of Shere, where we will pass film locations from 'The Holiday' and 'Bridget Jones Diary'. The route will include some nice wide trails (great for chatting) and some fun single track trails (which are a lot of fun) along the way. This run is perfect for people new to trail running, runners who simply like to run with like minded people, or those that haven't felt comfortable running trails alone at dusk or night. You will be guided by Matt Buck, an experienced ultra runner, running coach and Salomon ambassador. You don't need to worry about where you are going or the route we will take, I will take care of everything so all you need to do is concentrate on running and having fun.
